President Bola Tinubu has formally sworn in Esther Walson-Jack as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, succeeding Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan.
The swearing-in ceremony occurred in Abuja on Monday, just before the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting. During the event, President Tinubu commended the outgoing HoS, Yemi-Esan, for her outstanding service and dedication to public administration.
“Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan must be acknowledged for her exceptional tenure as the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation. She served our nation with unparalleled commitment, loyalty, and vision, guiding the Civil Service through significant transformations and reforms,” Tinubu remarked.
He further praised Yemi-Esan’s efforts to enhance efficiency and transparency within the civil service, noting that her professionalism has set a high standard for public administration in Nigeria.
Following her swearing-in, Walson-Jack pledged to continue with the ongoing reforms and introduce new innovations to improve the service.
In her farewell message, Yemi-Esan urged civil servants to prioritize professionalism and the nation’s progress in their duties.
